Tutorial très détaillé ici pour la version 3.8.1:
http://www.ordi-netfr.com/poppeeper.phpChangementsv 5.5
* Encryption methods have been updated; this will make data files (settings and message data) incompatible with previous versions
* OpenSSL updated to v3.0 (LTS)
- Oauth2: Outlook accounts will now default to using external web browser method instead of embedded browser for authentication
- Oauth2: Accounts using Outlook servers that don't appear to be free will once again recommend Oauth2 (free domains [@outlook, @hotmail, @live] will not)
This also necessitated a change in the Create Account wizard, so the incoming server page now comes before the login/password page (so that it's known if Oauth2 should be available); backend rewritten for how Pages are created in the Create Account Wizard
- When dragging messages, the mouse cursor will use the standard arrow for eligible drops (instead of the up arrow)
- If POP Peeper reports a corrupted ini file and you choose not to restore, POP Peeper will create a .sav copy of your .bak file (this file would need to be manually renamed for POP Peeper to find it)
- New advanced search option "email" (or shorthand "e") allows you to perform search in the standard email fields (from/to/cc/bcc); this makes it easier to find all emails in a coversation based on the email address
- The context command to "Search by email address" now uses the "email" advanced search instead of "from" (so that the email address being searched for can also be found in to/cc/bcc)
- Optimization: hitching when Check Mail occurs; this could be noticed when composing email and a Check Mail starts; it is exacerbated by (number of accounts x number of messages x max threads) dev sample: (31 x 40000 x 8; ryzen 7900X)
- PPtweaker: Search by email/subject/both can now be assigned Hot Keys (page: shortcuts; window: Message list)
- Statistics for "server info (all)" now includes the number of accounts (and how many are enabled)
- myyahoo.com manually added for auto-configuration
- Tooltip for "sender" message column now includes "reply-to" address if available
- PPconvert.exe has been phased out and has been removed from the installation (its main purpose was to upgrade message data files from v3.x .emd to .db)
- Print dialog now uses modern UI when printing plain/rich text
- Fix: Desktop Alert would popup after a checkmail if POP Peeper had existing new messages and was minimized to the taskbar (not tray)
- Fix: Smart HTML: RSS messages are considered whitelisted so that they can be displayed in HTML as long as other requirements are passed
- Fix: Deleting red-X messages wouldn't update stats
- Fix: Marking a message as Junk with action='Do Nothing' wouldn't update stats immediately (e.g. wouldn't update tray icon to reflect there's a Junk message)
- Fix: Certain "Compose" menu items (Send Mail and tray icon) would include an account name, but this was not always accurate; the account name will no longer be included in the display of the menu item
- Fix: Several URLs in the UI (menus, buttons) would open using the system-default browser instead of the browser specified by the user
- Fix: Trusted Sites: URLs would not open if a registered browser was specified in PPtweaker
- Fix: The Find Server button on Edit Account/General was available for all protocols when it should only be available for POP3 and IMAP
- Fix: Editing mail list columns was broken
- Fix: Potential deadlocks addressed including when sorting message list (also possibile: Updating password protection, getting next unread message, getting previous unread message); several other potential deadlocks
- Fix: AntiJunk: +Size rule was not working as intended
- Fix: "Focus next POP Peeper window when I close view-message" (PPTweaker/Misc) implementation has changed to try to prevent the wrong window from stealing focus (e.g. [old behavior] open compose, go back to main interface, open view-message, close view-message: compose takes focus instead of main interface keeping focus)
- Fix: Random Outlook Oauth2 errors (server-side; error 12157; retries on error)
- Fix-ish: If all Junk messages are removed externally, the "Junk View" toolbar button would still indicate that there are filtered messages; the button will now revert back to standard IFF currently viewing "Legit and unknown" (the default) and all unread junk messages have been removed
- Fix: When replying to a message that only contains attachments (NO text sections), POP Peeper would quote the MIME data and could potentially cause a long delay while processing the message
- Fix: Desktop Alert (for new email) could show sender/subject of password-protected account
- Fix: Printing plain text uses .25" margin on all sides
- Fix: Printing plain text could crash if invalid printer returned from Print window
- Updater: Fixed potential problem that updater might think it finished before it actually had (impact only when more than one update package)
