JSesh est un éditeur de textes pour l'égyptien ancien. C'est un logiciel libre et "Open-Source". Il est actuellement raisonnablement puissant, et couvre la majeure partie du Manuel de Codage. Si vous utilisez JSesh, veuillez vous enregistrer. L'enregistrement est gratuit.

JSesh est un éditeur de textes hiéroglyphiques complet utilisable professionnellement.
Les textes JSesh peuvent être copiés puis collés dans d'autres logiciels (notamment MS/Word ou Openoffice). Il est aussi possible de créer des images dans divers formats graphiques (jpeg, png, pdf, svg, emf, macpict, etc.)
Il est parfaitement autorisé d'utiliser JSesh dans des publications. La mention de son utilisation n'est pas obligatoire, mais est la bienvenue (de la même manière que l'on mentionne les polices de caractères utilisées dans un livre).
JSesh est libre et gratuit : vous pouvez l'utiliser gratuitement, et en donner des copies autour de vous.
JSesh est opensource : son code en langage java est disponible (sous la license LGPL). Pour l'utilisateur, c'est infiniment plus sûr, car même si le présent auteur était dans l'impossibilité de travailler sur le logiciel, d'autres pourraient sans trop de problème prendre la relève. D'autre part, on peut utiliser JSesh pour créer de nouveaux logiciels.

Many signs have been redrawn to fit their Hieroglyphica counterpart or to be more accurate ; A complete list of changes is available here.
Minor improvements
In the group menu, you will find an entry which can vertically center a single sign (basically by adding 0-height spaces around it);
explode group also works on the current selection now;
add cartouche now has a shortcut (control or command C, depending on the platform);
the hieroglyphic palette won't always be on top.
